At this time in my life, my husband and I didn't own a single cat and we had just moved to a farm. This film asked me to provide at least 6 cats for a scene in a large woodworking facility about the size of a grocery store. I learned a lot about finding the right personality when it comes to working with cats in film! Most cats are fearful in new spaces and nervous around new people. I needed the rare extremely bold, outgoing, and friendly cat that would enjoy this experience. I once again contacted Blue Grass Pet Rescue and they had two amazing cats that they thought would work well. I also found two lovely cats at Clermont To The Rescue and two cats through Animal Rescue Foundation. Our house went from 0 to 6 in a few days!! All the cats got along well and my husband and I decided to name and keep 5 of the 6. We named them all Disney names, Jasmine, Tiana, Kristoff, Merlin, Elsa, and the 6th, Rosie, was named by the woman who was adopting her after filming. Three of the cats, Kristoff the hero cat, Elsa, and Tiana all worked well for this scene. We had to practice in the space with the cats in between people using the machines and working in the space, it was chaotic! I had two assistants help me and it all went very well. Unfortunately, the scene ended up getting cut from the original film. If you buy the film there is an "Extra" area and the cats have their own deleted scene! I loved that they did that!!
